You don’t have to become someone new to discover more of who you are.
The Rooted Way Method
Remember. Reclaim. Rewild.
Coming home to yourself is not about becoming someone new. It is about creating space to discover who you are, reconnect with what matters to you, and live in ways that feel more fully your own.
I believe a fulfilled, anchored life begins with a relationship with ourselves.
We are more than our thoughts, more than our bodies, and more than the roles we inhabit. We have minds that help us make sense of our experiences, bodies that communicate through sensation and feeling, and a deeper sense of self that connects us with meaning, creativity, values, and purpose.
Yet we don't always feel connected to these dimensions of ourselves. We may live primarily in our minds, disconnected from what we feel. We may override our bodies to meet expectations, lose touch with our desires, or find ourselves living according to stories and identities that no longer reflect who we are.
The Rooted Way is an integrative approach to self-discovery and transformation that brings together mind, body, and spirit.
Through psychological exploration, embodied practices, creativity, and meaningful connection, we learn to understand the language of each dimension of ourselves, recognize what we need, and cultivate a deeper relationship with our whole being.
I believe insight can open the door to change, but transformation deepens when we begin to experience ourselves differently in our everyday lives. It happens as we learn to listen to our inner world, respond to our bodies with greater awareness, reconnect with what gives our lives meaning, and bring these discoveries into the choices we make.
This isn't about achieving perfect balance, fixing yourself, or becoming an idealized version of who you think you should be. It's about developing the awareness, capacity, and self-trust to navigate life's changing seasons while remaining connected to who you are and what matters to you.
The Rooted Way is an invitation to remember, reclaim, and rewild: to understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your inherent wisdom, and create a life that feels anchored, fulfilling, and genuinely your own.
The Three Pillars of the Rooted Way
The Rooted Way is grounded in the understanding that mind, body, and spirit are interconnected dimensions of our experience. Each offers its own way of understanding ourselves and navigating the world. When we learn to listen to each and bring them into relationship, we create more space to live with intention, connection, and aliveness.
1. Understanding the Disconnection
Working with the mind. Understanding yourself. Befriending your inner world.
Our minds help us make sense of our experiences, form beliefs, interpret the world, and navigate the demands of everyday life. They also hold the stories, expectations, and protective strategies we have developed along the way.
My approach begins with curiosity about the experiences, protective patterns, cultural expectations, and inherited stories that shape our relationships with ourselves.
Together, we can explore where you may have learned to override your needs, quiet your desires, struggle with boundaries, or disconnect from your body. We can explore the different parts of yourself, the roles they play, and the needs they may be trying to meet.
Rather than judging the ways you have learned to navigate the world, we seek to understand them and consider whether they still support the life you want to live.
This work creates space to recognize familiar patterns, develop a more compassionate relationship with your inner world, and discover new ways of responding to yourself and others.
2. Reclaiming Embodied Wisdom and Power
Working with the body. Learning its language. Reconnecting with your inner knowing.
Your body is not simply something to manage, improve, or carry you through life. It is part of how you experience the world, relate to others, recognize your needs, and encounter emotion, pleasure, and aliveness.
Yet many of us have learned to override our bodily signals, disconnect from sensation, or relate to our bodies through judgment and expectation rather than curiosity.
Through somatic exploration, body awareness, and an understanding of nervous system responses and body energetics, we begin to develop a different relationship with our bodies. We explore what it means to notice sensation, recognize our internal states, expand our capacity to be with our experiences, and discover what helps us feel present, connected, and alive.
Together, we can explore your values, preferences, needs, desires, boundaries, and creativity. We can make room for questions around identity, sexuality, pleasure, body image, changing seasons of life, and the messages you have received about who you are supposed to be.
My intention is not to prescribe who you should become, but to create space for you to discover what feels authentic, meaningful, and alive for you.
As we deepen our relationship with our bodies, we can begin to recognize our needs with greater clarity, honor our boundaries, and make choices that reflect our own values and desires.
3. Embodiment as a Lived Practice
Working with spirit. Reconnecting with your essence. Bringing what matters to life.
Coming home to yourself involves more than understanding your patterns or learning to listen to your body. It also means making space for the deeper questions of who you are, what gives your life meaning, and what you feel called to express, create, and experience.
Here, spirit refers to our relationship with our essential self, values, purpose, creativity, and sense of connection to something larger than ourselves, as each person understands it.
Through creative expression, imagination, storytelling, ritual, connection with nature, and reflection, we can explore the possibilities that emerge when we move beyond familiar roles and expectations. We can reconnect with what feels meaningful, discover parts of ourselves that have had little room to emerge, and imagine new ways of living.
I believe understanding ourselves is meaningful, but insight alone does not always change how we experience our lives. The work is learning to bring what we discover into our everyday experience.
Together, we can explore body awareness, breath, movement, sensory experiences, creative expression, imagination, and other experiential practices that support a deeper relationship with your body and inner world. We can also explore how your values, creativity, relationships, and sense of purpose can shape the life you are creating.
The goal is not to achieve a perfect state of embodiment or arrive at a final version of yourself. It is to cultivate an ongoing practice of listening, responding, creating, and returning to yourself with greater curiosity and compassion.
What Enriches My Approach
The Rooted Way is informed by the wisdom and rhythms of nature, the possibilities opened through imagination and storytelling, the meaning of life's transitions, and the support that can emerge when women witness and encourage one another.
I see these as meaningful doorways into self-discovery.
Nature can remind us that growth happens in seasons, that rest and renewal belong to the same cycle, and that not everything meaningful can be rushed.
Stories, archetypes, and imagination can help us explore the hidden dimensions of ourselves, question familiar identities, and envision possibilities beyond the lives we have known. They offer creative ways to engage with the psyche, discover new perspectives, and explore who we might become.
Ritual and reflection can help us mark transitions, make meaning of our experiences, and create space for what is emerging. Connection with other women can remind us that we don't have to navigate every question alone. Being witnessed, understood, and encouraged can open space for new experiences of ourselves and one another.
These elements bring creativity, depth, and a sense of aliveness to my approach, honoring the many ways we come to understand ourselves and create meaningful lives.
The Seven R's of Rooted
The Seven R's offer a framework for the journey of reconnecting with yourself. They are not steps you must complete in order, but interconnected experiences we may move between as we grow, discover, and change.
Each R offers a different doorway into the work of understanding your mind, listening to your body, reconnecting with your essential self, and bringing what matters to you into the way you live.
Recognizing
We begin by noticing the stories, expectations, and patterns that have shaped your relationship with yourself. Together, we bring awareness to where you are now, including the thoughts you return to, the sensations you experience, and the ways you have learned to navigate the world, without judgment.
Releasing
We explore the beliefs, expectations, and protective strategies that may no longer serve you. Together, we make room to loosen your grip on what you have outgrown while honoring why those patterns may have developed.
Releasing is not about forcing yourself to let go. It is about developing the awareness and flexibility to relate differently to what you carry.
Revealing
We create space to discover what lives beneath the expectations and familiar roles. Together, we explore your values, preferences, needs, desires, creativity, and the parts of yourself that may have had little room to emerge.
Through reflection, imagination, and curiosity, we begin to uncover what feels meaningful and true for you.
Reawakening
We deepen your connection with your body, senses, and inner experience. Through curiosity and exploration, we begin to notice what you feel, what brings you alive, and what your body may be communicating.
This can include learning about nervous system responses, exploring movement and sensation, reconnecting with pleasure and creativity, and expanding your capacity to be present with yourself.
Reconnecting
We nurture your relationship with yourself, bringing mind, body, and spirit into greater communication. We also make space for connection with the natural world, supportive relationships, and the experience of being witnessed and understood by others.
Reconnection is about cultivating a sense of belonging within yourself and discovering what helps you feel connected to the life you are living.
Reclaiming
We explore how to honor your agency through the boundaries you set, the choices you make, and the ways you begin to shape a life that reflects what matters to you.
This may mean listening to your needs, honoring your desires, expressing your creativity, reconsidering familiar expectations, or making room for parts of yourself that have been overlooked or suppressed.
Radiating
We bring what you are discovering into your everyday life. Together, we explore how your growing self-trust, creativity, and sense of aliveness can influence your relationships, decisions, work, and the way you move through the world.
Radiating is not about performing a more confident or perfected version of yourself. It is about allowing your inner connection to influence how you live, relate, create, and participate in the world.
You may find yourself returning to certain R's at different points in your life. This is not a linear process, and there is no single way it is supposed to unfold. I offer this framework to support your exploration, not to give you another set of expectations to meet.
Coming Home, Again and Again
I see coming home to yourself as an ongoing relationship rather than a destination.
There will be seasons of discovery, moments of uncertainty, and times when you feel deeply connected to yourself, alongside times when you need to find your way back. You may need the clarity of your mind, the grounding of your body, the meaning and perspective of your spirit, or some combination of all three.
Over time, you can develop a deeper understanding of what each dimension offers you, what each needs, and how to move between them with greater awareness and choice.
My hope is to offer a space where you can explore who you are with curiosity, reconnect with your own wisdom, and practice living in ways that feel more fully your own.
Not by becoming someone else, but by cultivating the inner connection to live more fully as yourself.
Begin your journey within. Deepen your roots. Reclaim your aliveness.
